RAJOURI: Army distributed books and stationery to children of JWG and Gursain villages as a step towards empowerment and upliftment of the ‘AWAM’. General Knowledge and competitive books in Hindi and English alongwith stationery were presented to the students. This initiative undertaken by the Army was applauded by students as well as the ‘AWAM’ in JWG and Gursain village. The village Sarpanch thanked the Army for providing these facilities and conveyed that such gesture would have a positive influence on the under privileged students and provide impetus to education in the region. Approximately 250 persons were present for the event. Such endeavours by the Indian Army would go a long way in winning the hearts and minds of AWAM.
